Abstract at the Bascom Museum, Highlands NC Oct 27-30

Lessons in abstraction

Level: I, II, III

The intent of this four-day class is to push you out of your usual way of doing things and into new concept and design territory. It is essentially a design class with emphasis on manipulating the components of visual expression, discovering who you are, what you really want, and what your aesthetic really looks like. Led by Me, the author of Fishing for Elephants: Insights and Exercises to Inspire Authentic Creativity. All mediums welcome: oil, acrylic, gouache, pastel, or mixed media. You need to have a basic understanding of color theory/mixing.

The Bascom Museum is one of those really cool places that just inspires creativity. It’s nestled in the luscious mountain rain forests of Highlands, NC. I’ve taught there before and I can’t wait to go back.

Tuition: $550 Member / $600 Non-Member
