The Bascom Center for the Visual Arts, Highland NC

The Bascom is a rustic contemporary museum/center for the arts nestled in the lush rainforest of Highlands, NC.

The intent of this four-day class is to push you out of your usual way of doing things and into new concept and design territory. It is essentially a design class with emphasis on manipulating the components of visual expression, discovering who you are, what you really want and what your aesthetic really looks like. Led by Larry Moore, the author of Fishing for Elephants: Insights and Exercises to Inspire Authentic Creativity. All mediums are welcome: oil, acrylic, gouache, pastel or mixed media. It helps to have a basic understanding of color theory/mixing.
